LUMINA EXISTS TO BUILD BETTER TECHNOLOGY IN A BETTER WAY
Our sustainability efforts focus on what matters most: creating products that last, eliminating wasteful subscriptions, and reducing our environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle.
We use a three-part approach: designing for longevity, minimizing our footprint, and holding ourselves accountable with transparent reporting.
What's in Our Footprint
product journey and put the results on display. Our carbon footprint accounts for emissions across five key categories:
Materials
We prioritize durable, responsibly sourced materials that stand the test of time. From medical-grade sensors to recyclable titanium, every component is chosen for performance and longevity—reducing waste by lasting years, not months.
Manufacturing
Making technology takes energy. But when you work with partners who share your values and manufacture efficiently, you can reduce those numbers significantly. We prioritize factories with renewable energy commitments and ethical labor practices.
Transportation
Our products move from factory to distribution center, then to customers around the world. Sometimes they're returned or exchanged. Every leg of a product's journey creates an impact, which is why we optimize packaging size, consolidate shipments, and continuously work to reduce transit emissions.
Product Use
Unlike most wearables, Lumina requires no daily charging for weeks at a time. Efficient power management means less energy consumed over the product's lifetime. When you do charge, we recommend using renewable energy sources whenever possible.
End of Life
Most tech ends up in landfills, releasing harmful materials into the environment. We're working to change that with repairable designs, modular components, and future take-back programs that keep devices in use longer and materials in circulation.
Why It Matters
Premium materials and thoughtful engineering mean your Lumina device stays with you for years, not upgrade cycles.
No planned obsolescence. No forced subscriptions. No wasteful annual models. Just technology that works, today and tomorrow.
We track our footprint across materials, manufacturing, shipping, use, and end of life—then work to reduce it year over year.
Recovery shouldn't cost the planet.
